Oral History/Digital Project

Phoenix Community Housing are seeking an  organisation(s) to lead on this project and, in partnership with Phoenix and the Bellingham community, create a high quality,  educational, informative Oral History and Digital Project that will draw an audience from beyond the locality as well as resonate with local people.

Oral History & Digital Project

An oral history project including the development of a website, online archive and short film. Volunteers will be recruited to be community champions for this project, and will receive training so that they have the skills required to help deliver. They will gain a Community Volunteering accredited qualification and will engage other people from the community to share their memories and capture their stories. This will be made available to all through a variety of different media including a website and a film which volunteers will help to produce. We would look for the project to increase digital skills in the local community as well as making heritage come alive for the community in an interactive, accessible and engaging way.
