Recruiting Regional Networkers for the Oral History Society (voluntary role)

The Oral History Society is recruiting Regional Networkers for the Society’s Regional Network.

Our regional networkers act as volunteers to answer queries about oral history and related heritage projects in their local area and share their knowledge, expertise and passion for oral history. We are seeking enthusiastic oral historians with at least 3 years’ experience and based in the following regions:

  • Scotland
  • Wales
  • Northern Ireland
  • South East (Kent area)
  • Yorkshire

Do you have a skill with oral history relating to any of the following areas?

  • Education and Schools
  • Community history
  • Museums and oral history
  • Diversity and oral history
  • Digital expertise with oral histories

If so, we’d love to hear from you. If you’re interested in joining a friendly network of oral historians, coming along to our annual meeting, and feel that you could benefit others from being a regional networker please contact Juliana Vandegrift, our Regional Network Co-ordinator, for an informal chat and an application pack.


Application process closes at 5pm 2nd May 2016.

*Applicants must subscribe as members of the Oral History Society as part of the criteria to apply for the role of Regional Networker.
