Rusland Horizons Oral History Facilitator

Deadline for submission: 12 noon, 19th August

Project budget for facilitator fees and expenses: £10,000 (excluding VAT)

We are looking to contact an independent facilitator to plan and deliver oral history recording and training sessions to support the delivery of the Oral and Mapped History project in the Rusland Horizons Landscape Partnership Scheme.

The facilitator will train and work with a team of volunteers to gather local memories of the historic interaction between people and the landscape and make these available online via a digital archive and interactive map. The stories gathered will help us develop a number of self-guided walking trails and will contribute to an end of scheme exhibition and booklet.

We’re looking for someone with an excellent track record of delivering community oral history projects and with a good knowledge of traditional land management practice and woodland industries.  In return we can offer the opportunity to work with an enthusiastic group of people who care deeply about their local landscape and who have some really interesting stories to tell . . .
